Rainbow Moonshine and Silhouettes!

The students in the early part of the week painted colorful moonlit backgrounds with scary and spooky silhouettes! They began by making a full moon with yellow acrylic paint . Then, outlining the yellow circle with an orange ring and continuing with red, purple, blue and green. Once that was dry, bats, witches hats and cats were added in black to finish this fun, bright halloween project!

WHAT THEY LEARNED

The flow of rainbow colors one to another. We began in the middle of the ROY G BIV sequence. (RED-ORANGE-YELLOW-GREEN-BLUE-INDIGO-VIOLET) and without washing off the brush, moved from one color to the next allowing them to see a range of colors as they transitioned from one color to the next.
